Garden Clutter

I know most of you are excited to create gardens and such for the summer season in SL. RVi Design has you covered with some cute add on items to make any garden feel realistic. There is a wagon with a watering can and a flower which you can purchase together. There is also the ability to purchase the water can separate if you would like to to place around. There are also some crates sitting around with you can use like pictured above, or you can put different kinds of items inside. I love little items like this that are mesh and low prim to put around as decoration. My sister has kinda made me into a clutter freak in SL and this just adds to that! :) Right now, these items are a new release and are 50% off for group members. It's been about a month since I have posted anything from RVi Design. I took a mini break to get school stuff done and then some other stuff. Trying to refocus, re gather and work on *me* and where and what I want out of my blog. Thankfully, Roshy is a doll and was very patient with me. So I'm excited to be blogging for her again.

She has some super amazing sales out right now which you'll see coming up in some of my next posts but I'm so excited that she's doing a gatcha to celebrate some of her new mesh pieces.

So glad it's summer. I wish I had the space to plant flowers in real life but we're planning on moving so why spend the money for something someone else will get to enjoy? Yeah I'm a grouch like that, ~laughs~ BUT I can decorate in Second Life and I can also share these wonderful Gatcha Plants with my friends.

Summertime...

Its that time of year when all the plants are in bloom outside, the days are getting hotter and hotter, the cicadas provide a constant background hum, and time slows down just a bit because its summer. RVi Design has some terrific new items that can bring a bit of the summer feel to your SL for incredibly low land impact.

They have just released a new series of mesh potting plants that look absolutely gorgeous. There are 7 different pot/soil/plant/gardening tool combinations which are available separately for 100L each or in a fatpack for 350L. Each set has a land impact of 0.5, which means you can rez out a bunch of them and link them without compromising prim counts.

I also found a series of gorgeous tulips in a variety of tub planters. These are mesh, with a land impact of 0.5 per flower-filled tub. Each of the three styles is available for 100L. As with the potted plants, these would be a great way to add a splash of color and texture to your summer SL landscape.

Perfect Garden

It has been a while for me… but I am finally back blogging for RVi Design and it is such a relief. Her newest release kinda makes me a tad sad though. I only say that because last week I was out in my flower beds working my behind off to get the plants in the ground and weeds out of the beds and I log into SL and quickly rez up my own garden. Why can’t things work like that in RL???? I would set my RL garden up just like Roshy has created here with these adorable potted plants and shelves. They even come with adorable signs so just in case you didn’t notice what you had there you could read it. Hmm… curious what other kind of plants I could put out… maybe a weed sign would work?

I want to take a moment to explain about everything you see here. First off, Roshy is amazing and puts everything in a value pack so that all you have to do is rez the box and move on… BUT just in case you were wondering… you can unlink the items and move them around how you want them. In the photo above, I rezzed out the value box (click here for marketplace link) and they all appear in a nice little row. I am a messy person and I tend to like things everywhere, so I decided to unlink them and move them around how I wanted. These are all modify and copy items. When you unlink the items, the plants are together, the sign is its own item, and the shelve is a single item. If you want to move the whole shelf as one unit you will need to get into your edit screen on say the shelves and then hold down SHIFT and then click the other items you want to move together. You may laugh that I am telling you this but sadly enough I just discovered this not too long ago (insert your laughter here). Also on the ground, I have rezzed out some of the single pots which you can purchase individually if you would like (marketplace link). I really encourage you to explore the in world store as well as the marketplace store because the options are really endless. All of the plants you see in this photo including the shelves and signs all add up to a low land impact of 15! That is a small amount of LI for something that takes up a nice bit of space. Both of which are important to me! :)

New Gatcha @ RVi Design!

After releasing the Arabian Market Rug Stalls we've got to get them in real use, so here it came the idea to turn them into GATCHA vendors and fill them up with lots of carpets and rugs. All are high quality, low land impact and modifiable mesh items with no alpha, so you can overlap them and arrange them together without having to worry about the SL alpha glitch!

When you play the Gatcha for 50L you get a random area rug. There are plenty of options - total over 40 designs in the vendors, but even if you get a repeat and you don't need or want what you've got, it is transferable, so it may make a good gift for a friend, or can trade it with someone who got something you want, how cool is that?

THE TOLKIEN FESTIVAL

 

Ladies and Gentleman… I present to you…. the TOLKIEN FESTIVAL!!! Who doesn’t love a shopping festival? There are several themes to this fair so there are many different types of items that can be found around. I was very impressed at the wide range of products listed, but I was even more impressed with RVi Design. They had to put up two shops just to fit the wide variety of items that they are bringing to the fair. Some are even pre releases that aren’t available in store yet like this garden table set you see above. The detailing is divine and this is a must have for any spring and summer garden you are planning. These products are all new mesh as well. Another fun thing for festivals is the set up. You will see all kinds of amazing stores and designs here. Below, I took a photo of one of the RVi Design stores. The journey up to the top of the tower allows you to get a grand view of the festival from up high. Please come take a look before the festival is over! It opened up on April 26th and will last until May 11th, so there is plenty of time left to get your shopping in! TOOTLES

Crypt Keeper

Gorgeously well made, this Crypt with tombstone is another awesome offering from RVi Design.  Place it as a permanent fixture or bring out for photo ops.  As with the other crypt items it has 8 mourning animations which can be can be used by up to 8 avatars at the same time with the nPose system letting you switch between poses and position.

Super sexy Long White Skirt from RD Style, is part of the Davina outfit. Shoes are also from RD Style. She makes some great designs, you should check out her store. The market stall that I'm standing next to is another great mesh design from RVi Design. It can be used as decor in your home, store or role play market set up. The Immortal Crypt!

We have the awesome mesh crypt, perfect for any RP scene, sim or even just get for Halloween to decorate your space. The Tombstone inside the Crypt has 8 mourning animations and can be used by up to 8 avatars with The nPose system so you can switch between poses, positions and allows you to adjust them.  The crow on the tree has sound effect on touch, the gate are open close on touch or collision and the black marble gate torches have time activated flames.  Go get one!

Mieville's Tolkien Festival

You are invited to the first-ever TOLKIEN FESTIVAL, set in a Hobbiton/Rivendell build of epic proportions in the skies over Mieville. It takes place now until May 11th, so don't miss it!

There will be a Mini Hunt, entertainment, dances, food, drink and general good times, Hobbit style!

There are dozens of booths, wagons and an open-air market for you to wander through, perusing the wares of many merchants.

 RVi Design has two shops at this fabulous festival. We had to have them separately because of the different themes of the items we have at the fair. RVi Design: Medieval Living

If you haven't figured out, Cedric and I like to role play. He has more characters then I do, but we tend to stick to the medieval roots of roleplaying. When I saw that RVi Design had created these medieval houses I had to snag them up. I love to create scenarios with what I buy, and what I blog. There are times that Cedric or I will see something and we'll build elaborate scenes all the way around an item for any one of our given role plays. This is the Spring Garden set by RVi Design, it comes in two pieces but for this I pushed them together a little bit so it looks like one cohesive piece. Dead End

I am thrilled beyond belief... I have been waiting for this release for a long time and I am so excited to be able to share this with you. RVi Design has released the new Dead End Sanctuary which is a mesh release. I am enchanted by all things spooky and really... This makes me feel like I am back at Halloween. This will definitely be part of my design this year but before that, I at least wanted to introduce you to this amazing creation. Roshy really outdid herself. This product is copy and modify so you can change just about everything about it. It comes with a coffin that opens and closes when you touch it, a pose within the coffin itself, sound effects with the crow on the tree when it is touched, gates that open and close to the touch or when you run into it (my preference), and a black marble gate with torches that are time activated with flames. The scripts are no modifiable but if you want you can replace them with your own, add more animations and customize the design. I also took this opportunity to show you something else which I have recently obtained and am addicted to now... My shoes are the new release from *Reign called Monarch Heels. I purchased them in black but there are all kinds of colors and are an add on for the slink high feet. You can find these at The Big Show if you would like to grab a pair for yourself. Again, if you have any questions please feel free to ask in world! And remember that the Dead End Sanctuary is also 50% off for group members of RVi Design while it is still a new release so DONT WAIT!!!!

Getting Gothic at RVi Design

The great Dragon Statue Torch is a new mesh offering from RVi Design, the torch automatically comes on when SL night comes round or you can click to activate, mod and copy.

The Cemetery Gates are another mesh offering from RVi Design, with the flame torches and swing action gates. The torch has on touch ON/OFF flame control and activates itself when SL sun goes down, perfect for a Gothic inspired setting or as a prop.  The Two-headed Dragon Statue is also an RVi Design item and works great with the gates in my opinion.
